Tavia Yeung Jokes She Brings Bad Luck to Co-stars
Kevin Cheng (鄭嘉穎) appeared at the blessing ceremony for new TVB crime thriller, Eye in the Sky <天眼>, with a band-aid above his right eyebrow. His costar, Tavia Yeung (楊怡), initially thought it was part of his look in the series. When Tavia later realized Kevin was actually injured, she laughed and joked she possesses a curse that brings bad luck to her fellow co-stars.
After all, this is not the first time that one of Tavia’s close partners experienced an injury. Steven Ma (馬浚偉), whom she collaborated with in Storm in a Cocoon <守業者>, fractured his nose on set and suffered from a swollen eye. Hearing Tavia’s remarks, Ruco Chan (陳展鵬), the other male lead of Eye in the Sky, poked fun at her and said he should stay away from the curse. However, he joked that Kevin seemed to have already shielded him from the bad luck.
Kevin revealed he had accidentally bumped his head on a doorframe as he got off work. He added in confusion, “I don’t even understand how that happened! I didn’t even know I was bleeding until others saw and told me. At the hospital, I was lucky I didn’t have to get stitches because the cut isn’t deep.” Kevin denied his accident was caused by fatigue and claimed TVB has been taking good care of him all along.
With the cut on his forehead, Kevin laughed and expressed he is unafraid he will lose his handsome looks, since he had been injured more heavily in the past. “I don’t walk down the handsome lane anyway. Once, I received five stitches from playing soccer. Another time, I received ten stitches at the corner of my eye while filming Yip Man <葉問>.”
According to Kevin, the worst aspect about his recent injury is how the wound is not horizontal. He joked, “Or else I could pretend it is a forehead wrinkle!” Although the cut is minor, it is located at a highly visible area. Thus, Kevin would have to wait several days until it is fully healed before he can apply makeup and continue filming.

CANT WAIT FOR DRAMAAA!! So excited
They all look so good!! Tavia looks cute 🙂
ya can’t wait for the drama to be aired. btw, has tavia ever collaborated with kevin before? I can’t remember. The pair seems very sweet and fresh to me.
Kevin and Tavia were in Yummy Yummy and A Fistful of Stances.
I’m looking forward this serie!!! I hope it will be released in the end of this year!!
Same here and hopefully, they can achieve at least one of the TVB awards
and also in Beyond the Realm of Conscience
Only a month into filming and Kevin is already suffering from fatigue. There are supposedly 3 months more to go, so contrary to what Kevin said about TVB looking after him well,in reality it doesn’t seem so.
3 months more for 20 episode? I wish they can make this drama up to 30 episode as initially planning
Just imagine if they didn’t; he probably would have ended up in the hospital. So for his standard, TVB is taking care of him rather well.
Thats normal.
Kevin looks… tired. I like his answer though.
Who isn’t tired when working for TVB or being in this business???
Kevin isn’t ageing very well.
Wait until he’s 50.
