“Tomorrow is Another Day” Synopsis
TVB prison drama, Tomorrow is Another Day <再戰明天>, which stars Lawrence Ng (吳啟華) and Kate Tsui (徐子珊), will premiere on October 6, 2014, succeeding the current broadcast time slot currently occupied by Line Walker <使徒行者>. Contrary to past TVB dramas that dealt with crime and mystery, Tomorrow is Another Day will bring its focus to prisoners incarcerated in the Stanley Prison, the biggest and oldest-operating security facility in Hong Kong.
Senior correctional services officer Man Sheung Sing (Lawrence Ng) is in charge of supervising and disciplining the inmates at the Stanley Prison. Having to confront unruly prisoners every day, Sheung Sing takes each step of his life cautiously. Adding more stress to his job, his subordinate Kiu Ching Kiu (Vincent Wong 王浩信) often violates regulations and even goes as far as starting a romance with a prisoner.
Stationed at the Lo Wu Correctional Institution, officer Yiu Ka Oi (Kate Tsui) confesses her love to Sheung Sing. Ka Oi is more than ten years younger than Sheung Sing and has known him for many years. Sheung Sing rejects her out of fear that their relationship will fail like his last marriage.
Sheung Sing’s good friend and colleague Yung Wai Jun (Kenny Wong 黃德斌) can tell that Sheung Sing is afraid to fall in love with again. Like Sheung Sing, Wai Jun also faces trouble at home. Fortunately, Sheung Sing’s ex-wife Yip Nga Lui (Jade Leung 梁琤) and colleague Chi Chun Gwong (Tracy Chu 朱千雪) are there to support him.
The officers at the Stanley Prison are faced with new challenges every day, twists and turns that are too convoluted for outsiders to comprehend. After the events of a large uproar in prison, Sheung Sing and his colleagues come across a life-threatening situation. Will they be able to save themselves and complete their mission?

Reminds me of Orange is the New Black… lol except with men.
Not really since Orange is the New Black focuses on the inmates while this drama focuses on the officers.
Not boring ole Kate again!!! Are they really running out of actresses??? I wish they would just use a no name newbie actress instead.

Lawrence Ng and Kate are not good actors. These two will be overshadowed by Josie Ho and Vincent Wong who are only supporting!
Agree Vincent Wong overshadowed everyone in WP last year and overshadowed everyone in SSSS

Questioned Vincent Wong for doing that so many slaps. Don’t think his acting is up to par. 😀 🙁 LOL!
I feel like people shouldn’t judge before watching the show. I mean like yeah you guys may be sick of seeing Kate and her fake lashes it doesn’t mean that all her work are the same. So we should just wait and see first and then judge.
Why are ppl hating on Kate’s false lashes? I think its beautiful. It’s not easy to wear those thick lashes for 14 hours everyday. This should be a interesting series.

From the synopsis it seems whatever drama about prisons, it all always ends up with love problems. Prison is just an excuse.
Yeah, the synopsis is all about who loves who.
They invited movie star Josie Ho to the drama and they put her picture so tiny at the back.
Agree with you, even cop shows are just an excuse for love stories.
Don’t worry although TVB put Josie and Vincent so much to the back in the poster I’m sure they will steal the show from mediocrity of Lawrence Ng and atrocity of Kate Tsui.

None of the cast appeals to me. It’s a no-go for me. Vincent pairing with Josie and Lawrence pairing with kate sound just as exciting as yesterday’s news.
Lawerence is a very good actor he has never failed to be convincing that the main thing bout acting bringing out the role.. Making it exciting isn’t included in tvb
Chi lam is the only one that makes every role exciting when he films for tvb
this would be better if it was a movie not a draggy series
Line Walker is very good, a lot pressure for this serie to keep that ratings up… Very soon no more Sam gor, Lam Fung, Sheh Charmaine… this sux! lol

黃德斌 never gets promoted. He’s been stuck as a 3rd line actor for soooo many years
Both lead actor and actress scheduled to portray prison warden and guard are out of their league. The wardens and guards that I have known are tough as nails and hardened to the savviness of the criminals incarcerated there. If either of them display any whining or compassion, it is just not realistic though it may be possible but not probable.
Kate Tsui is stuck with playing cop woman for TVB.
I get Lawrence’s big picture since the synopsis is all about him. But Kate’s? It sounds like the rest are supporting to Lawrence though. Well, she’s a fadan after all.
And please tone down on the fake eyelashes. It’s very distracting from her performance.
